Our family. Our home. Our mission.

Built in Florida, for Florida families.

McDowell Energy is a father-and-son-owned company with deep roots in Central Florida and a simple purpose: help our neighbors keep water available when storms and outages disrupt everyday life.

Why we started

We understand what it means when the water stops.

Born and raised in Central Florida, we have experienced storms that left homes without dependable water. We know how quickly an outage changes normal life—from preparing food and washing dishes to doing laundry and simply having clean water available.

Those experiences inspired us to create practical backup-water systems that help families feel more prepared. We want to make a real difference in the community we call home, one household at a time.

“We love Florida. Our goal is to make storms and outages a little easier to weather for everyone.”

The people behind the work

Different experience. One shared purpose.

Our backgrounds come together in every system we build, service, and improve.

J

The father — James

A lifelong jack of all trades

Years of hands-on problem solving built a practical understanding of how things work—and how to make them work better. That resourcefulness helps keep every McDowell Energy solution grounded, dependable, and serviceable.

T

The son — Travis

Seven years of military service

Military experience brought discipline, preparation, and a strong sense of service to the company. Those values shape our commitment to helping families prepare before the next emergency arrives.

What keeps us curious

Outdoorsmen, builders, and lifelong tinkerers.

When we are not working on water systems, you will often find us camping, fishing, or experimenting with electronics and renewable-energy ideas. That curiosity is part of who we are—and it continually pushes us to find smarter, more resilient ways to serve our customers.
